The St. George MSU School Board and Return to School Committee developed a DRAFT Return to School Plan for the fall that we are calling the "Blue Plan." In drafting the plan, we had three goals in mind:
1.
To protect student, staff, and family health and safety;
2.
To keep our kids in school; and
3.
To return to as normal a school day as possible by identifying essential health and safety protocols and
reducing disruptions to students’ learning and school functions.
Similar to last year, in making decisions, we considered
•
student, staff, and community health;
•
the costs and benefits of strategies that mitigate the risk of viral spread during the school day; and
•
the importance of in-person learning and the school experience to our students’ academic growth, social
development, and overall health and wellbeing.
We are asking families to share their input, feedback, and questions about the plan by completing this survey or reaching out to Superintendent Mike Felton (
m.felton@stgeorgemsu.org; 372.6312). After considering family survey results, the School Board will vote to approve a return to school plan at a Special School Board Meeting scheduled for Monday, August 23, at 10:30 a.m. You can attend that meeting in person or join via Zoom (contact Mike Felton for Zoom login information).
Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey, share your thoughts, and help us plan and prepare for the coming school year.
