Pebble Tossers' Board of Directors Application

Pebble Tossers’ Board of Directors thanks you for your interest in promoting youth and family volunteerism.  Serving as a Pebble Tossers Director is an exceptional opportunity to foster the continued growth and development of a highly respected nonprofit organization.  While serving on the Board of Directors requires both commitment and energy, it is a rewarding and fulfilling opportunity to ensure a future generation of volunteers, servant leaders, and philanthropists.  

  • Nominations for Pebble Tossers Board of Directors are received on an ongoing basis to maintain a board membership of between 9-20 board members. The Board Governance Committee meets as needed to present a slate of nominations to the full board.

  • Board members serve a term of three years with two renewable terms.  After that, members have the option to join the Advisory Council and can re-apply for Board membership after one year off the Board.

  • The full Board of Directors meets quarterly. Committees meet as needed. 

Pebble Tossers reaches out to its youth & family members and 60+ nonprofit members regularly by offering: 

  • Weekly Community Service Projects throughout Metro Atlanta

  • Providing a wide range of projects covering 12 major cause areas: The Arts, Animals, Citizenship + Social Justice, Education + Literacy, Elderly, Environment, Family Stability, Vulnerable Communities, Global Awareness, Homelessness, Hunger, Troops + Veterans

  • Leadership Development workshops and programming

  • eNewsletters highlighting new volunteer opportunities and urgent needs of local nonprofits

  • Access to resources relating to community service, volunteerism, grants, & scholarships

  • Partnerships with vetted nonprofits to educate and promote specific cause areas

  • Customized youth development workshops with a focus on community service and leadership

  • School Days of Service and service-learning curriculum consultation.
