Practice Area Requirements

This is an application for individuals who are not currently members of NELA-STL. As part of your application process, and to remain a member in good standing, you must annually certify that you subscribe to NELA’s purpose and certify that 60% of your employment-related legal work  - and the employment-related legal work of the firm with which you are affiliated – is on behalf of employees and is not contrary to the mission and purpose of NELA and its affiliates. 

You must also certify that you will not share NELA-St. Louis listserv posts or attachments with any person  whose employment-related practice – or the practice of the firm with which they affiliate – is less than 60% on behalf of employees. 

You understand that access to the NELA St. Louis listserv shall be limited to members in good standing, except that, upon approval of the President, an individual who is a member in good standing of National NELA or another NELA affiliate and meets the NELA St. Louis membership requirements, may be granted access to NELA St. Louis's listserv.

If you believe your firm's practice would exempt you from membership, you may request a waiver on your application, and it will be reviewed by the Executive Board.

NELA-KC Reciprocity

If you are a member in good standing of NELA-STL and pay dues to NELA-STL, you have access to the NELA-KC listserve and do not have to pay dues to NELA-KC. If you wish to join the KC listserve, please contact Paul Bullman at paul@attorneyforworkers.com.
