Please fill out this form if you are interested in hosting Citizen Science events and/or Digital Literacy events in your library. If you have specific questions, please email aoutec@pitt.edu.

Citizen Science: the involvement of the public in scientific research – whether community-driven research or global investigations. Events will introduce people from all walks of life to the field of citizen science and to hundreds of opportunities to get involved including six projects featured at https://SciStarter.org/NLM. More citizen science resources are available at https://citizensciencemonth.org and https://scistarter.org/library-resources

Digital Literacy: the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills. Examples of training modules can be found at https://nnlm.gov/nnlm.gov/allofus/digitalhealthliteracy.
