Misty Meadows Park Community Survey
Palos Heights Parks & Recreation is looking for community input on the development of its newest park located at 8140 Misty Meadow Drive. Please view the potential concepts below and take our short survey to provide us feedback.

Concept A "Nature Themed Play":                                                                                                                                   The design includes play apparatus for 2-5-year old’s on rubber safety surfacing. A 12' x 12' shelter provides a shaded space in an open concrete plaza along with seating. A concrete pathway connects the neighborhood to the new park along with concrete plank pavers to provide a rustic, nature feeling. The play pieces include climbing boulder, tree stump steppers, and sensory wall. The play space is designed for children of all abilities to enjoy! The park also includes swings, drinking fountain, landscape plantings, shaded bench swing and an ornamental aluminum fence to provide a safe place to play.
Concept B "Sports Themed Play":                                                                                                    The design includes play apparatus for 2-5-year old’s on rubber safety surfacing which includes fun graphics, such as soccer ball, hockey and a football field striping. An 8' x 10' rectangular shelter provides a shaded space in an open concrete plaza along with seating. A concrete pathway connects the neighborhood to the new park along with a hockey stick graphic inset in the concrete at the entrance. The play pieces include sports themed play structure, sports bollards, climber, swings, and sensory panels. The swings include an Expression Swing which allows a caregiver and child to face each other while swings. An ornamental aluminum fence and landscape plantings are also included to provide a safe place to play. The play space is designed for children of all abilities to enjoy!
