Thank you for your interest in the CARE Couples Study at the University of California, Irvine! We are excited about your participation!

This study is interested in how individuals function within close relationships and what strategies they use when interacting with close others. Couples will log in virtually and complete a number of tasks that involve filling out questionnaires, watching videos, and discussing videos. Participants will also be video recorded for a portion of the study. To be eligible for this study you must participate together with your romantic partner. Please note, you both will need to have access to a device that has a video-camera that can access the internet (e.g. logging into Zoom). This device should also allow you to use a web-browser at the same time without pausing the video, if it does not, you will need to have access to a second internet accessible device (e.g. a smart phone) that will allow you to complete the questionnaires while on the video-conference session. Participants are required to join the video-conferencing session on a separate device, rather than joining on the same device with their partner. The study should take approximately 3-hours to complete. You will receive a $30 Amazon e-gift card.

Eligibility: Participants must be at least 18 years old, in a romantic relationship that began at least 3 months ago, and have access to a device that can access the internet (e.g. logging into Zoom) and has a video-camera.
You do not have to be a UCI student to participate.
