You have been asked to be a part of the research described here. Participation is voluntary.

Summary of the study: There are a lot of concerns when dealing with pedestrian safety and bicycle paths to and from the Hammond Central School Complex. In an effort to address these concerns this study is being carried out. The aim of this research is to obtain suitable information that can be used to formulate the best way possible to improve pedestrian safety. This task will be completed through an in-person survey that lasts no more than 10 minutes. The identifiable data that will be collected is the subjects address, and all records will be recorded onto a Google survey response page after collecting data from the written survey.
There are no known risks for the subjects involved.

What to expect: A 10-minute survey utilizing short answer and linear scoring questions.

Risks and discomforts to you if you take part in this study: None

The benefits to you if you take part in this study: The aim is to produce an effective plan to develop recommendations for improving the roadway for pedestrians and bikers within Hammond Village.

What will you receive for taking part in this study: None, subjects are not compensated for partaking in this study.

What will happen to the information collected in this study: Results will be collected and stored on a Google survey response page.  The information will be used to develop a report that will articulate the best plan to
tackle the issue indicated above. 


The information you will share with us if you participate in this study will be kept completely confidential to the full extent of the law.


What rights you have when you take part in this study: Participation in this research is voluntary. Deciding not to take part, or to stop being a part of this research will result in no penalty, fine or loss of benefits that you otherwise have a right to.
