Details:
Camping trip to Wirrabara Forest approx 236kms north of Adelaide, 6kms west of Wirrabara
Summary:
Arrive Friday night or Saturday morning (please advise which). Saturday we'll head into Stone Hut for morning tea then onto Melrose where we will drive the Bridle Track over the top of the range and descent towards Pt Germein. Spectacular views to be had. Fairly easy drive, high range 4wd, or even 2wd for most of it. Returning to camp via Pt Germein gorge where we will detour for a wine tasting at Blesing Wines, then wind our way back through the pine forest to camp.
Accommodation:
Camp will be at Ippinitchie Camp Ground. Caravans, tents, swags suitable. Unfortunately this is now controlled by SA Parks so we need to book sites. Please liaise with trip Leader as half the sites can take two vehicles. Cost $22 per site per night.
