Anthropology in Color at NYU | 26 February 2021
With an eye to diversifying our profession, each year NYU Anthropology offers a one-day workshop for students from historically under-represented backgrounds who are considering graduate work in any of the four fields of our discipline. The event is open to anyone considering a PhD, from advanced undergraduate students to those already holding an MA, and where diversity is broadly defined, from first-generation college students to students of color. The symposium aims to demystify how to prepare a successful application, how to undertake advanced scholarly research, and careers both inside and outside the academy.

In regular years, the day’s events are free and meals are provided. No travel funds or overnight accommodation are available.

In 2021, the event will be held online.

If you have questions about the workshop or application, please contact anthropology@nyu.edu.
