The GPC is intended to be a practical document that gives art organisations clear standards to protect artists' working conditions. The six principles within the charter cover common but often overlooked work related issues that artists face in their role as freelancers. Each of the principles are indicator measures within the GPC that are expanded in their own respective briefing papers available on the main charter homepage. By working to these principles businesses can be more sustainable and meet the ongoing legislative requirements as workplaces for artists and for their stakeholders.
