The
purpose of this event is to bring together perspectives on diversity and
inclusion in STEM for a conversation focusing on:
- The challenges in promoting an inclusive research and
educational environment
- Why diversity and inclusion are important values to pursue
- Potential avenues forward to improve representation and
recognition of the achievements and potential of diverse communities in the
sciences
After the panel, the UCLA Store will be offering sales of Professor Kleiman's new book, Proving Ground, The Untold Story of the Six Women Who Programmed the World's First Modern Computer. She will be signing.
