FLEXIBLE WORK ARRANGEMENT, WORK-LIFE BALANCE, AND SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT OF FILIPINO VIRTUAL HOMEBASED WORKERS: A BASIS FOR ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT
Dear Valued Respondents,

Greetings of peace and joy!

I am Bernice Lit Bagnes, a Virtual Assistant and a Ph.D. Management student at Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas. I am currently conducting a study on flexible work arrangement, work-life balance and social engagement of Filipino Virtual Homebased Workers. The objective of this study is to determine the correlation among the three variables as the basis for organizational improvement. In this regard, I humbly ask your utmost participation by answering this survey.

Participants may talk to anyone they feel comfortable talking with about the research and that they can take time to reflect on whether they want to participate or not. Participants are assured that if they do not understand some of the words or concepts, the researcher will take time to explain them and they can ask questions at any time or any part of the questionnaire.

Please read the following information carefully and feel free to ask the researcher if there is anything that is not clear or if you need more information.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the attitude of Filipino Virtual Homebased Workers toward flexible work arrangement and its benefits in helping them to better manage their work-personal life demands (work-life balance) and their involvement in social activities (social engagement). The relationship among the three may provide organization information relevant and beneficial to its improvement.

Since you are a Virtual Homebased Worker, you are invited to participate in this study. Your observations and experiences in having a flexible work arrangement (flextime and flexplace), work-life balance, and social engagement are very significant to this study.

Study Procedures
If you choose to participate in this study, you will be asked to indicate the degree of agreement or disagreement to 20 statements about the attitude toward flexible work arrangement, 16 short statements about work-life balance, and the frequency to 20 short statements about social engagement. There will only be a total of 56 statements.

Duration
The survey will only take 10 - 15 minutes of your time. Your participation is very much appreciated as your responses will comprise the design of my study.
