Theme: "Jewish Stars Shining Bright"

The overall theme for the 2022 Mardi Gras is "United We Shine", indicating that when we band together, we shine together.

As Jews, shining through adversity is encrypted in our DNA. As LGBTQ+ Jews we can also be thrown into the shifting sands of identity politics. This year we welcome an array of LGBTQ+ people as well as a strong contingent of supporters. This year's theme is a rallying call to stand up against hate and inequality, reminding us that when we rise as a collective, our message of love and inclusion is heard louder. We all want to “shine” against prejudice, bullying, othering and judgments that keep us from being the Brightly Shining Jewish Stars that we are.

Because the parade is continuing with its shift to the SCG, only walking groups are allowed (no vehicles).

𝗖𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗠𝗘𝗦:
* Participants will have Dayenu T-shirts provided and may have carriables which we will choreograph along the parade route within the stadium.
* To fit with our theme and costuming, we ask that everyone wear only black and/or silver below the waist.

𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗬 𝗕𝗜𝗥𝗗 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟:  For everyone who registers and pays before Sunday 6 February 2022, we are offering a 20% discount, so cost is only $40.
$50 from Monday 7 February onward.  
This covers the costs of the production of the float, t-shirts and costumes.
