New York State values a well-rounded education for all students. The new accountability system used in ESSA will use a variety of indicators that go beyond the core academic subjects. For this session we will look at those indicators with a focus on growth expectations and how progress in for English language proficiency will be measured using the Transition Matrix. Participants in this session will leave with an overview of indicators, ELL assessments and how they can be used to assess and plan for instruction remotely.
