There is NO pre-registration or fee required. Filling out the form below is helpful for us but, you do NOT have to fill it out to Audition. You can just show up on Sun., January 15. 

If you have a resume and photo, feel free to bring them to the Audition, but don't make any special effort to produce these things especially for this Audition.  We just want to see you dance.

Contract info & who we are looking for:
Company Dancer contracts are from January 25 to June 30, 2023 (approximately 13-16 weeks), and include Company Class, hourly rehearsal & performance pay, and teaching & choreographing opportunities. 

Rehearsals are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30am to 1:00pm and, occasional Fridays from 10am to 1pm. We regularly rehearse at Intrigue Dance Center, but we sometimes rehearse at other locations, such as Maywood Fine Arts in Maywood, IL.

We are looking for dancers of all gender identities and expressions. Artists of color are encouraged to Audition.

Qualified candidates will possess a strong technical background in ballet, modern and contemporary dance and performing experience. Knowledge of Circus acrobatics and/or aerial techniques is nice but not required.

How the Audition will work:
We won't teach a warm-up, but feel free to come early to warm yourself up.  Doors open and registration will begin at 12:15pm. When you arrive, you’ll be asked to fill out paperwork. All dancers should be ready to dance at 1:00pm. You'll be in bare feet for the entire Audition. If you have other needs for your feet, no worries. Just let us know when you register.

The dance part of the Audition will go like this:
1. We'll teach an adagio combination and make cuts afterwards.
2. We'll teach a jump combination and/or possibly something from repertory, and make cuts afterwards.
3. About 8-12 dancers will be invited to stay and learn Company repertory.

There will be no call back. Decisions about Company dancers will be made by Friday, January 20.  You'll be notified by phone and/or email. The first rehearsal is Wednesday, January 25.

Dancers of all colors, genders, and ages are encouraged to audition.

Dancers aged 17-26 may be invited to participate in our new 3rd Coast Contemporary Dance program, which allows qualified dancers to take classes and rehearse with the Company, starting in the fall of 2023. We will be accepting 15 dancers into this new program. More details will be available at the Audition.
