EVC has been allocated $8.2 million from the federal government to grant eligible students for COVID-19 related expenses. This fund intends to provide emergency grants to help students meet urgent, basic needs such as food, housing, course materials, technology, healthcare and childcare expenses acquired due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
All Pell grant recipients are automatically eligible and do no need to submit this application. Check your Award/Offer letter for details.
If you have submitted your FAFSA/CA Dream App for the 21-22 year, you can submit this application for emergency funding. If you have yet to submit your FAFSA/Cal Dream Act, you should submit it now along with this application if you have urgent basic needs. International students do not need to submit a FAFSA to apply.
These are first come first served funds. However, you MUST have a current FAFSA/Cl Dream App on file to receive the funds, EVEN if you are not eligible for traditional financial aid, you must still submit an application. Due to limited funding, priority will go to students with the greatest need as determined by their financial aid application if we receive more request than we have funding for.
The grant amounts will range from $500 to $2000 depending on your enrollment.
The funds will be disbursed starting September 24, 2021 and through out the semester
