This is a joint application for Peer Tutors & Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leaders, who will be serving during the Fall 2025.
Peer Tutors may work with a variety of courses, and conduct individual and/or small group tutoring sessions with undergraduate students enrolled in those particular courses. Peer Tutors must offer at least 5 hours of appointment availability, and may be given the option to provide drop-in tutoring hours.
Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leaders work with one course throughout the semester. PAL Leaders attend lecture and plan and conduct 4 interactive, group study sessions for that course each week.
Minimum Qualifications:
You must currently be enrolled at UNC Charlotte.
You must currently have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
You must have made an “A” grade in the course(s) you want to support. Lab grades are not accepted. Prefer to have taken the course at UNC Charlotte.
Must have 2 recommendations; one reference must be UNC Charlotte faculty from the subject area and preferably, course(s) you apply to work with. The other can be a professional reference or another faculty member.
