We are no longer accepting Audition Requests for entrance into Piano for 2023. If you chose a Bachelor of Music as your first choice major, here are the instructions for major change requests:

-The applicant needs to email Admissions directly at admissions@sa.ucsb.edu with the request to change majors. We encourage you to choose to change to the BA in Music Studies if you wish to major in Music.
-The Subject Line of the email should read "Major Change Request".
-The student must include full legal name and either perm number OR application ID number.

There will be opportunities to audition for lessons at the start of Fall 2023 quarter. Updates about audition times, how to sign up and other music department activities will be updated and posted here:

If a BM is still your desired degree, there may still be opportunities to audition at the end of your first year. Discuss possibilities with the Music Advisor once you arrive on campus.
