Bathrooms for Bangor
Currently, the city of Bangor does not have any public bathrooms downtown or near the waterfront. Residents and visitors of downtown Bangor are required to pay to use the bathroom.

This is an issue of accessibility. Having to pay for a cup of coffee should not be a requirement for people to safely use the bathroom. The absence of public bathrooms discriminates against poor people, people with conditions that cause them to use the bathroom more frequently, unhoused people, and people who menstruate, among others.

The Greater Bangor Housing Coalition is in negotiations with the city to promote the availability of multiple portable toilets in the downtown and waterfront area and would like your support.
