Schedule Change Policies
Each year students are strongly encouraged to carefully select courses and alternates that fulfill their four-year graduation plan and the required endorsement for grades 9-11. From these course selections, we build the Leander High School master schedule to accommodate student selections and ensure proper staffing and class sizes.  
Unnecessary/Excessive schedule changes can disrupt a student’s four-year graduation plan as well as course availability and class sizes for all students. Therefore, Leander ISD has established policies for schedule changes in order to maintain integrity in the scheduling process (see student handbook ).

The following information will give you the acceptable reasons to change your selected classes after the July 30th, 2020 deadline.
Schedule Change Information
Schedule change requests are when students want to change an elective or core class. Any requests to change a schedule will be considered only for a compelling educational circumstance and will be subject to space availability.

Parent/Guardian name, email and phone number will serve as an electronic parent/guardian signature, giving permission to change courses.

Student schedules will NOT be changed to select different teachers or lunch periods. Students may not change their electives or alternate electives after the July 30th, 2020, deadline, unless there is a compelling academic reason required for graduation.
