Foster cats are often older cats. Are you ok with this?
UCA are dedicated to the rescue of street cats, they can often be shy and will take time to come out of their shell. Are you ok with this?

Many street cats are shy and need extra attention, this can require a dedicated 15-20 minutes in the morning and evening using techniques like brushing the cat to get them used to being touched. Would you be prepared to do this?

UCA can provide a foster care pack but prefer that is reserved for people with little means. What out of the following can you provide yourself?
A majority of our adoptions are foster fails, this is when our foster carers choose to adopt the cats they are fostering. Despite being a carer, if you do decide to adopt you will still need to pay an adoption fee. The adoption fee for a kitten is $290 and an adult cat (from 7 months old) is $230 to $250. Foster carers signing up with the intention of adopting (fosdopt) will not recieve a discount, foster carers who have fostered multiple cats for us or who have cared for the cat for more than 6 months and then decide to adopt will recieve a $50 discount on the above prices. *
I understand that if I keep a cat and fail to pay the adoption fee that legal action may be taken *
Terms and Conditions
All UCA fosters are required to be secured indoors at ALL TIMES unless you they have access to a secured outdoor cat run. *
Do you agree to allow a team member from UCA to conduct a home visit prior to receiving the foster cat/kitten? *
Do you agree to allow a team member of UCA to check in on the cat/kitten on a fortnightly basis if needed or more frequently if the cat/kitten is sick? *
Do you agree to make yourself available to potential adoptees to meet the cat/kitten? *
Do you agree that nay non-perishables that UCA provides remain the property of UCA and must be returned at the end of the foster period? *
