The workshop will take place during the 3rd Interdisciplinary DocUMed Conference on June 9, 2022 from 10:00 to 13:00 at the Patio of the Information and Library Center of the Medical University in Łódź at 2 Muszyńskiego Street.

Professor Petra Verdonk is an employee of Amsterdam UMC, where he teaches classes on gender diversity and equality in healthcare and research in biomedical sciences. Prof. Verdonk is the author and co-author of over 100 publications, her main area of ​​research interest is interculturalism and diversity in medical education, the role of gender in public health and intersectionality in healthcare. The professor participated in a number of EU projects related to the promotion of inclusion in medical education.

The workshop will be devoted to the issues of Gender Equality Plans in research institutions, in particular the issue of gender equality in scientific research, the appropriate selection of methodology and practical problems related to the analysis and interpretation of data (in particular the sources of bias - gender bias).
