Rogue Basin TREX 2022 **APPLICATION**
Welcome! The Rogue Basin TREX partners, including federal, state, and local fire agencies, tribes, non-profits, and private landowners, are coordinating on the ground opportunities for training and work on position task books for prescribed fire. Our goal is to build local capacity and increase the pace and scale of prescribed fire treatments for the resilience and safety of forests and communities. More information about the TREX can be found in the Rogue Basin TREX 2022 Announcement.

Interested applicants should enter their information below to be considered for participation in the Rogue Basin TREX 2022. The Rogue Basin TREX coordinator will contact you about whether you have been accepted into the program. Participants in TREX function as volunteers of The Nature Conservancy. If accepted, the coordinator will provide more detail about how to pay the $100 fee, and about the required orientation and other coordination.

Your information on your qualifications, training needs, equipment, and availability help us organize resources and optimize training offered. Participants will function "on-call", for prescribed fire assignments predominantly with the Siskiyou Mountain Ranger District of the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest. It is important that you provide as much detail about known periods of unavailability so that the coordinator can efficiently assemble resources for prescribed fire opportunities when they arise. We will be contacting eligible participants for assignments on burns as part of on-call Rogue Basin TREX in Southwest Oregon burns. Starting April 18 until the burn window ends (subject to change) we will be coordinating burning and training opportunities.  During this time, when a unit comes into prescription, we will start to mobilize resources and will notify participants who sigh up below of those burning and training opportunities.

A Prescribed Fire Field day is also being tentatively planned for April in ******
