CAMWS Table Read Reactions
Please use this form to give your thoughts about the production and staging of Sophocles' WOMEN OF TRACHIS (or, as it will be for the Randolph College Greek Play, HERACLES AND DEIANEIRA) after we've read it together during Session 8 of CAMWS 2020.

We welcome general comments and thought, but if you know that your questions and answers are specifically about thematic emphasis, characterization and doubling, scenic and costume design, staging and blocking, we've provided separate spots to talk about those things.

The planned production is October 9, 10, and 11 at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia (randolphcollege.edu/greekplay).  The call for papers for the concurrent Ancient Drama in Performance conference is also still open (ancientdrama.go.randolphcollege.edu).  We're hopeful that both events can still take place.

General thoughts or questions about the play.
Thoughts or questions about themes of the play that must not be ignored.
Thoughts or questions about characterization and/or doubling.  (Our production will have three actors: one playing Deianeira and Heracles, one playing Hyllus and Lichas, and one playing the Nurse, Messenger, and Old Man.)
Thoughts or questions about scenic and costume design.  Or props!  We perform in a large outdoor theatre during daylight without lights or amplification.
Thoughts or questions about staging or blocking.  We perform in a large outdoor theatre during daylight without lights or a curtain, and the audience can always see each other and the surrounding area.
