Allsorts Youth Project has received NHS Sussex funding an exciting programme supporting Sussex based young people who are:
- Trans
- Ages 17 - 20
- Have been referred from child (GIDS) to adult (GIC) Gender Identity Services
We are aware of the long waiting lists and the impact this is having on young people so this project aims to provide support for this group.
Allsorts is an experienced LGBT+ youth service that has been delivering vital services for LGBT+ children and young people for over 20 years.
The Waiting Well Programme is designed to support trans young people to build stronger relationships by participating in activities and workshops which will build confidence, resilience and communication skills.
Over the course of the programme we will support young people to:
- Find community & feel connected
- Build confidence & resilience
- Help cope with difficult feelings
- Develop tools to maintain wellbeing
- Access resources & opportunities
The tailored programme will be interactive, fun, and provide young people with a safe space to connect. It will take place in four sessions and you will need to attend all four of the sessions.
