The Toronto Travel Fee Scholarship is funded and administrated by the Mason Band Boosters.  To be good stewards of booster funds, this application is required for families seeking a scholarship for 2020 Toronto Travel Fees.   The application is due December 2, 2019 and decisions will be shared with all applications by December 13, 2019.   If you apply for a scholarship, no matter the outcome, your first payment is not due until December 20th.  

The Scholarship Panel of Directors and Booster Board members pledges to handle all information submitted in a discrete and professional manner.   All applications and financial information will be held in strict confidence.   At the conclusion of the program cycle, all financial information shared will be destroyed.  

--The maximum value of the Travel Scholarship is the student travel fee.  For 2020, the Toronto Travel Fee is currently $580.

--Applicants are encouraged to contribute what they are able to the Travel Fee so the limited scholarship funds may extend to as many families in need as possible.

--Students awarded scholarships need to remain in good standing with the Mason Bands program to maintain their scholarship. The Director of Bands and Symphonic  Director will determine student status.  

--Families receiving the Travel Fee Scholarship will be encouraged, as all Band Families are encouraged, to volunteer in support of the program’s fundraisers.  

--Scholarships will be paid directly to the travel providers on behalf of the student; no funds will be distributed directly to the student or family.
