The Rhode Island Wind Ensemble thanks you for your interest in the BIRD! Our goal is to refurbish as many used band instruments as we can and donate them to urban school band programs in need, for use by students who cannot afford to rent or buy an instrument of their own. Instruments will be inspected, cleaned, and repaired by trained technicians before being distributed. Each instrument will become the property of the school band program, for use by students for several years.

If you are the band teacher at a public school (or a public charter school) in the greater Providence area and would like to apply to receive one or more of our instruments, please fill out the form below and someone from RIWE will contact you with more information.
