The garden/art club for middle school will have a multi-purpose goal. We will work in the garden and create an understanding of how and when to grow produce along with what we can do with the produce once harvested. Some examples would be learning about fermentation, drying, making natural dyes and other preservative preparations. We will use the garden as inspiration for our art works while learning the principles of design and the elements of art. Sometimes our focus would be in the garden and sometimes we would be in the art studio or both.
