The success of Pioneer's program depends on strong parental involvement and communication, particularly if your child has any learning difference(s), social/emotional issues, ADD/ADHD, etc.
As a Pioneer parent we need your commitment to:

Read and be responsive to emails/messages from Pioneer staff
Read the weekly newsletter with your child
Assist your child in staying on pace (having them work nights and weekends as needed)
Serve as 'home editor' for your child's weekly Language Arts paper
Be prepared to drive your student to Flagship events, high school showcase/academy nights and field trips as necessary
Be prepared to pay for out of pocket expenses related to Flagship activities
Be sure your child rehearses at home for all-school performances as well as Flagship events
Give 15 hours annual volunteer service to the school
Participate in annual fundraisers, primarily Coastin' in Spring
Get your child to school and pick them up on time
Support our culture of kindness, respect, & inclusion
Promote minimal social media and screen time at home; screens put away at least one hour to bedtime
Monitor your child's online communication for appropriateness and for their safety
Feed your child a nutritious, balanced diet, especially if they have a medical condition and/or learning difference, ie. ADHD; promote good sleeping habits
