We are thrilled to welcome you to this year's Youth Assembly for Europe, North America and Central Asia in the lead-up to the UNECE Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (RFSD). Please fill out the above registration form and join us - either online and/or in-person!

Youth Assembly 2024 

In the lead-up to the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (RFSD), adolescents and youth will gather virtually and in-person (at the RFSD itself) to frame their priorities and demands - as well as showcase how young people across the region are leading action on the SDGs.

The Youth Assembly is a self organised space - convened by youth, for youth - which provides a dynamic platform for policy discussions, training and capacity building for youth engaging at the RFSD. This year's forum is open to all adolescents and young people - whether you are participating at the RFSD in-person or following online! 

Reflecting the themes of the RFSD, the Youth Assembly will focus on SDGs under review, specifically progress in the areas of No Poverty (SDG 1); Zero Hunger (SDG 2); Climate Action (SDG 13); Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16); and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). 

What is UNECE RFSD? 

For the UNECE region, the Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (RFSD) is a broadly recognized platform that has brought together a growing number of actors and groups since its first stand-alone session in 2017. 

The theme for this year’s Forum is: "Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the Economic Commission for Europe region in times of multiple crises: The effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions". The Forum will assess progress, exchange knowledge, as well as identify areas for transformative action in order to achieve the SDGs in line with regional priorities, with a focus on the SDGs under review by this year's High-Level Political Forum (HLPF). The Forum will also support the presentation of voluntary national reviews (VNRs) at the 2024 HLPF.

YOUTH ASSEMBLY 2024 - KEY DETAILS

    • Youth Assembly - DAY 1 (virtual) 

    Introduction about UNECE, RFSD, regional processes in the ECE region & Sub-Regional Break-Outs 

    When: Thursday, March 7th, 2024, from 3 PM CET to 5.30 PM CET

    Where: online (Zoom link will be sent out to the e-mail address used during registration)


    • Youth Assembly - DAY 2 (virtual)

    Focus on Goals Under Review (SDG 1, 2, 13, 16 & 17) and finalizing preparations for RFSD

    When: Friday, March 8th, 2024, from 3 PM CET to 5.45 PM CET

    Where: online (Zoom link will be sent out to the e-mail address used during registration)


    • Youth Assembly - DAY 3 (in-person)

    When: Tuesday, March 12th, 2024

    Where: in-person, Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland (Information will be communicated via e-mail)
