Auditions are being held for the 2019-20 Season!

Here's what to expect:

Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork or get your questions answered.

Auditions will take place with Mrs. Beauchamp, and/or with her assistants in a private room. Parents and siblings are not allowed in the audition room.

The audition process is short and consists of pitch matching, repeating a sequence of notes, and identifying voice range and voice quality. This is an excellent opportunity for our director Mrs. Beauchamp and her assistants to learn more about the singer and their goals.

It is not necessary to bring a prepared solo, but it is encouraged if one is ready and has been worked on. Any piece that demonstrates the singer's abilities will do. If not, a very simple and well known tune will be requested.

The Chamber Choir audition is more extensive and is designed for singers, grades 9 and up, who would like to work on more challenging music. Singers will have to demonstrate sight singing and rhythmic abilities through short exercises. They will perform a scale exercise, a language exercise and will memorize a short melody on the spot. A SOLO PIECE IS REQUIRED. Those who audition for the Chamber Choir, if accepted, must be fully committed to all concerts and rehearsals.

PLEASE NOTE: Even if you've already registered for next year, you STILL NEED to audition.

Auditions will be held in the Music Building on the Church of the Palms Campus.
