Queerness & Nature Walks Registration Form
Resident artists Windafire and Ginger Brooks Takahashi continue their series of walks as a mutual creative space, centering queerness and kinship with nature. Inspired by an understanding of land as a friend and teacher, we will lead three walks in Pittsburgh Parks: Frick Park, Schenley Park, and Riverview Park. The walks will guide you to listen and form stories with and of the land. The residency will culminate in a Full Moon Celebration with readings, a potluck and bonfire.

Our next walk is at Schenley Park on July 30th, 10 am-12pm.
Please meet at Bartlett Shelter.

This walk will feature uneven ground and off-trail venturing on Upper Panther Hollow Trail to Hollow Run Trail, returning to Bartlett Shelter. Please wear supportive footwear and cover your legs/ankles from poison ivy/ticks. Bring water, and your notebook from the prior walk.

This event is intentionally Intergenerational and is for/by young people. It is also a sober (alchohol and drug-free) space. Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs or questions below.

ASL Interpretation services provided by S.L.I.P. at each walk.

We have created a Tumblr where we post inspirational and information content as well as writing and sketches created at prior walks: https://www.tumblr.com/blog/queerness-nature. Please feel free to submit content you created to info@dreamsofhope.org.
