Makers of Maryland Street Team Application
Do you all remember Street Teams? They were big back when I was a teenager with local bands. It was a way to have fans, on the ground putting in their efforts to create that "fan to band" connection to get the voice of the fans heard and advocated for. A one-to-one connection with what the fans wanted!  You could sign up to be on the street team for your area to vote for merch, have exclusive coupons, stickers, vote on important and fun matters, early access to opportunities, & help to bring ideas to your specific area!  We want to do the same thing with people who want to support the community like we do! 

*Let's dive further into what the Street Team Reps are so we can all be on the same page.*

WHAT: Going along with out word of the year - EXPAND - this year we will be introducing the Makers of Maryland Street Team. 

WHO: The Street Team will be comprised of a limited number of representatives for each Maryland County. Each County will have two (for now!) Street Team Representatives who will work together within their county, with all MD Street Team Reps, & the Makers of Maryland Support Staff.

WHY: The purpose of the Street Team is to create a mechanism for Maryland-wide collaboration and the inclusion of diverse perspectives. Further, representatives will be tasked with helping plan and execute vendor and networking events, retail spaces, and additional projects/opportunities. Representatives will have the opportunity to provide feedback on upcoming events and to serve as a community leader for their county. 

HOW: Our Street Team Representatives will; 
-Be the voice of Makers for your immediate community/county. ie. the ultimate Makers hype person & advocate!
-Someone want wants to be involved with the community to bring ideas to the table, talk through all group ideas and create a vision, advocate for Makers & Artists in their county.
-Help to decide and vote on Events, Updates within Makers, etc.
-Participate in a minimum of two times a month Street Team call to create events, plan meet ups, and execute any other projects or opportunities within Makers of Maryland.
-Receive affiliate links for all Makers Merch from the Makers of Maryland website (once available) and a discount for themselves. 
-Access to a group of all Street Team members for resources and support.
-FREE access to all levels of our Community Forum within Discord.
-Act as Moderator within the "Chat by County" section in Discord. 
-Once a month one-on-one business coaching call with Stephanie for your personal Business plans and growth.
-Listed on Makers of Maryland website as a County leader and advocate. 

This is for the person who:
-Is a Maker/Artists within the State of Maryland
-Enjoys being an active part in the community.
-Is invested in the growth of their Maker community and beyond. 
-Is focusing on their own Small Business Growth.
-Holds themselves accountable in business decisions and commitments.
-Lives within the County they are applying for.

This is not for the person who:
-Does not want to be an active part in their own success.
-Does not have the time to commit to community growth. 
-Has outside factors that would prevent them from being fully present.

This will include all 23 counties within Maryland along with Baltimore City for a total of 48 Street Team Members. If selected, your term will be for the duration of 2023. All Street Team members will be up for renewal in 2024.

Applications accepted until the close of January 31, 2023. All members will be alerted of their status by February 10, 2023.
