Attendance Policies
At our summer camp, we understand that things come up and plans may change. We have put in place the following policies to ensure the smooth operation of the camp and fair treatment to all participants:
  1. Cancellation Policy: We frequently have campers on a wait list. We understand that things come up, and we want to give other campers the opportunity to join the camp if your child cannot make it. You can provide a cancellation notice via phone call or email to camp@thecollaborative.us. Please do NOT use text to communicate with camp staff.
  2. No Show Policy: If your child fails to attend camp without at least 24 hours notice, it will be considered a "no call no show." In such cases, a fee of $15 will be charged to your child's account. We want to make sure that all campers have an equal chance to participate.
  3. Sick Policy: Do not send your child to camp if they are sick or have a fever. If your child is sick or unable to attend camp due to unforeseen circumstances, we want to make sure that all participants are healthy and safe. Please notify us as soon as possible if your child is unable to attend camp due to illness.
  4. Late Arrival or Early Departure: If your child will be arriving late or leaving early from a camp session, please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate their schedule. We want to make sure that your child can still participate in the scheduled activities, and advance notice helps us prepare accordingly.
  5. Medical Emergency: We take great care to ensure the health and wellness of all participants but accidents can happen. We need to make sure we have accurate contact information to alert you if there is a medical need. We will contact the emergency contacts listed on your child's registration form and provide you updates whenever possible. If your child requires medical attention, we will seek medical treatment as necessary and contact you as soon as possible.
  6. Waitlist Policy & Procedure  for our summer camp program is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the camp reaches its maximum capacity, new registrations will be  be placed on our waitlist.

  7. Waitlist Notification If a spot becomes available, the camp director will contact the next person on the waitlist via phone or email as soon as possible. We understand that parents and guardians need enough time to prepare their camper for the day, so we will notify them with enough time for them to grab any necessary items.

  8. Acceptance and Confirmation If your camper is offered a spot from the waitlist, you will have a limited time to accept the spot and complete the registration process. Once you confirm the acceptance, you will be provided with all necessary details, including the session date and time, camp rules and guidelines, and required items.
