The School’s agreement 

The school will:

·       Treat your son/daughter fairly, care for him/her well and ensure his/her happiness

·       Ensure that he/she achieves his/her best in all aspects of school life

·       Encourage him/her to develop a sense of responsibility and to be considerate of others

·       Encourage high standards of behaviour at all times

·       Encourage good attendance and punctuality and reward these termly and annually 

·       Reward good work in class within assemblies and celebrate their achievements

·       Provide and interesting and comprehensive curriculum as specified by the government 

·       Provide a broad range of clubs and activities to meet his/her individual needs and interests

·       Provide daily opportunities to make appointments to speak with teachers about your son/daughter 

·       Provide regular parents meetings to discuss classwork, achievements and behaviour 

·       Keep you well informed about school life by using newsletters and the school website

·       Listen and respond to any concerns 

·       Be welcoming at all times and offer opportunities to become involved in the daily life of the school 

 

The school will take photographs as a record of achievements and memories. These photographs may be used around school, on the school website or Facebook page, or at times, within local newspapers. Individual names will not be assigned to individual children unless specific permission is asked of the parent. 

 The children will have access to the school computer system including Oldham Local Authority’s internet. The children’s usage of the internet is monitored. We are teaching them to use the internet appropriately so they are aware how to stay safe both in school and out. 

 Children will take part in visits and activities within the local area. These will be fully risk assessed and planned to ensure the children are safe and being staffed appropriately following the Local Authority guidelines. 


The Pupil’s agreement 

I will:

·      Attend school every day and on time

·      Bring the things I need and look after them properly

·      Take full part in every lesson including swimming and PE

·      Wear my correct uniform and be tidy 

·      Complete all class work and home work my teacher sets me

·      Behave well, be helpful and polite to others, both in and out of school 

·      Join in all school activities

·      Help look after the school and keep it free from litter

·      Take all letters and important information to my parents 

·      I will use the school computers safely and sensibly 

·      Access the school internet appropriately reporting any problems or things I do not like immediately 

The Parents’/Guardians’ agreement 

I will: 

·       Ensure that my son/daughter attends school every day, in school uniform, on time and with the equipment he/she needs. All uniform and equipment will be clearly marked with his/her name

·       Ensure that my son/daughter takes part in all of the curriculum areas required by law including swimming and PE 

·       Let the school know about any problems which might affect his/her work or behaviour

·       Encourage him/her to always do his/her best

·       Support him/her with reading, spellings and other home learning activities 

·       Encourage him/her to take part in school clubs 

·       Attend parents’ meetings

·       Support the school policies and rules, including those on discipline and behaviour

·       Read and respond to, letters from school if necessary

We get invited to events at other local school’s many of these are organised at short notice.
