What?
Harmony Horsemanship Handling Worksop with the option at the end to complete the test to become a Certified Harmony Horsemanship Handler.
We'll learn...
- horse vital signs and health information
- positive and negative reinforcement versus punishment
- passive leadership
- how to help a horse that is anxious or scared
- equine handling skills including lunging
- equine care skills including taking vitals, giving oral meds, eye ointments, hoof soaking and more
- how to use the SAFE techniques: simple, achievable, friendly and effective
The optional test at the end of the series involves a written quiz, and practical components demonstrating skills from the series.
The series is a combination of classroom learning and hands on practical experience.
There is no riding in this series. Horses are provided by PHH for the Workshop.

Who is this for?
- anyone that owns/leases/part boards a horse or is interested to in the future
- equine professionals including vet techs, and farm staff and managers
- anyone who volunteers at Equine facilities
- anyone who is interested to learn about horses and handling using SAFE techniques
- there is no specific age requirement, however participants need the attention for an hour long classroom session, and confidence/ability to complete handling tasks on their own (with instruction)
