The webinar series is organized by ERI, TDRI and GIZ as part of the Clean, Affordable, and Secure Energy for Southeast Asia" or CASE program. It is an international program funded by German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and coordinated by GIZ Thailand. CASE aims to drive change in the energy sector in South East Asia (SEA) towards increased climate change ambition. It focuses on the four most important SEA countries in terms of energy demand - Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam - and also provides for regional interventions.
The energy transition covers a wide range of areas, such as the development of energy technologies and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as well as development and economic structure, etc. The research team recognizes the importance of building an academic network in the country to share information, news, research and perspectives on energy research opportunities and work related to the energy transition. It aims to be a platform to share information and update the direction of current energy research work and share knowledge about energy with academics, researchers, students and interested parties.
ภายใต้โครงการ Clean, Affordable, and Secure Energy for Southeast Asia (CASE) จัดโดย สถาบันวิจัยพลังงาน จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยลัย (ERI), สถาบันวิจัยเพื่อการพัฒนาประเทศไทย (TDRI) และ องค์กรความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศของเยอรมัน (GIZ)
ทั้งนี้ การเปลี่ยนผ่านพลังงานมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับศาสตร์หลากหลายแขนง เช่น การพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีด้านพลังงานและการลดก๊าซเรือนกระจก และการพัฒนาและโครงสร้างเศรษฐกิจ เป็นต้น ทางคณะวิจัยเล็งเห็นความสำคัญของการสร้างเครือข่ายวิชาการในประเทศเพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล ข่าวสาร งานวิจัย และมุมมองเกี่ยวกับความเป็นไปของแวดวงงานวิจัยด้านพลังงานและงานที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเปลี่ยนผ่านพลังงาน เพื่อเป็นเวทีในการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและอัพเดททิศทางการดำเนินงานวิจัยด้านพลังงานในปัจจุบัน รวมไปถึงแบ่งปันความรู้ด้านพลังงานให้แก่นักวิชาการ นักวิจัย นิสิตและนักศึกษาที่สนใจ
