Thank you for your interest in our summer camp program! If you're creative, musical, and love working with children, our Sing! Strum! Play! Create! camp is the best place to spend your summertime. We're looking for energetic high school and college age interns to share their love of all things musical with our 4-8 year old campers. Camps are held at our downtown mall location, 221 E. Water St.
SUMMER INTERN JOB DESCRIPTION: Strong candidates for our internship program are creative, musical, and have experience working with young children. Interns assist camp teachers during music activities, lunch and quiet time, and free choice stations. Interns help supervise our campers as we walk to nearby parks and the Discovery Museum. Current First Aid and CPR training are a plus. Interns will be trained on expected protocols prior to working with us. Our camp runs from June 19 to August 18, 2023 with intern hours Monday thru Friday 10 am to 2 pm (20 hrs/wk). Front Porch interns are mentored by our teaching artists and receive valuable experience in our vibrant music school.
PERKS: Interning at The Front Porch is an opportunity to earn a glowing recommendation for college or future job applications. In addition to Front Porch merchandise, volunteers will earn a free group class for every week they volunteer (to be redeemed in 2023).
