THE MAGIC PENCIL CREATING A BETTER FUTURE
In this 101 Institute, inspired by the powerful book Malala's Magic Pencil by Malala Yousafzai as the core text, you will take away research-based strategies that will have an immediate impact on your students as you join a growing movement of professional educators.

APPLIED LITERACY 201
For those who have already attended the Enriched Literacy 101 week, there will be a separate track for a 201 experience, diving deeper into Applied Literacy.

Open to K-5 classroom teachers, ESE and ELL support staff, special area teachers, teaching artists, literacy coaches and administrators.

*There are limited spots available. Accepted applicants from SDIRC will receive their spot at no personal expense, as The Learning Alliance and generous community partners will cover the cost to participate in the form of a $1000 scholarship per person. THIS APPLICATION IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF ACCEPTANCE. We will prioritize placement for all those who serve K-3 students in our Moonshot Academy schools.
