OBJECTIVES & GOALS:

●     Students will receive individual lessons once a week that are tailored to their unique vocal needs. Lessons will focus on vocal development through work on posture, breathing technique, vocal range, resonance, and tone quality.

●     Students will work on choral audition repertoire and solo pieces to apply the above elements of vocal technique and work on musicality.

●     Development of basic sight-singing skills will be included.

●     Most importantly, private voice lessons develop the skills of self-discipline, time management, self-awareness, critical thinking, and confidence required in any field, even outside of music.


LESSON SCHEDULING:

●     Lessons will be taught in school during the period the student has choir

●     Each lesson is just over 20 minutes in length. Students will have a lesson once a week.

●     Lessons are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis on both A Days and B Days.

●     Students are committed to lessons for the academic year. In order to terminate private study mid-year, a 30 day written notice is required.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If a student will be missing a lesson, please give your voice lesson teacher advance notice of at least 24 hours, or your student will still be charged for the lesson. Make-ups may be scheduled at the voice teacher's discretion. Health and family emergencies can of course be taken into consideration.

●     In the event that your voice teacher has to unexpectedly miss a lesson, a make-up lesson will be scheduled or payment will be rolled over into the next billing cycle.


PAYMENT:

●     Lessons are $20 each.

●     Payment is due the first week of each month. Your voice teacher will send a monthly invoice a week in advance to the payment due date. (If you need to work out an alternate payment deadline, please let your voice teacher know.)

●     If payment is over a week late without communication, lessons will be suspended until payment is received.

●     Failure to pay for over one month of lessons will result in termination of lessons.

●     Payment can be made via cash, check, or the PREFERRED METHOD of online payment through the following method:
