Living in the Arts Community Question Submission
On the Living in the Arts podcast, we'll join Laura Scales Ashlock as she chats with both experienced and emerging artistic professionals who have ignited their creativity and shaped their careers to thrive while living in the arts.

It is our hope to include questions from the Living Arts community in these interviews. Please consider submitting questions you might have for artistic/creative professionals!

Types of artists on the show align with the types of art that Living Arts classes may provide to the community including, but not limited to: dancers, songwriters, traditional and digital musicians, Living Arts staff and/or teaching artists, theater makers, visual, digital, or 3D sculpture artists, and/or artistic administration professionals with creative responsibilities.

By submitting a question via this form, you consent to having your question read aloud to artists on Living in the Arts podcast and/or in Living Arts Detroit's social media channels.

Example questions might include very specific or more general questions surrounding artistic practice, professional development, advice, or general artistic inquiry :
- What's your favorite thing about your art form?
- Name the best part, to you, about being a dancer
- Why did you go into this?
- What would you say to a young person nervous about entering the field?
- What software systems do you use for your art?
- What do you recommend for someone just starting out, but very interested?
- Tell us about a time when you were creatively fulfilled
