VITAS Mentor Nomination Form - 2019-2020
VITAS - Vocational Inquiry Through Advocacy and Service - is a personal and professional development program that focuses on vocational discernment among our undergraduate students, particularly as it relates to their experiences engaging in community service and advocacy.

VITAS mentors commit to meeting weekly for one hour as a group during the Fall 2019 semester for professional development, discussing readings and topics related to vocational discernment.

The mentor will then assist a small group of undergraduate students (selected by the mentor) with vocational exploration and discernment during the 2020 Spring semester.  Through small group activities and discussions, the mentor will help students who are engaged in ongoing community service and/or social justice advocacy to reflect on how their experiences are connected to long-term opportunities, careers, and callings.

VITAS mentors will receive a $250 stipend, as well as $250 in program funds to be used in the Spring semester with their small group of students.

Mentors can self-nominate or be nominated by peers.  Nominations are due Friday, May 17th.  For questions or additional information, please contact Bobby Wassel in the Center for Service and Community Engagement, 314-977-2041 or bobby.wassel@slu.edu.
