Meet the Speakers that will kick off the conversation:
Salima Ebrahim - Salima Ebrahim is the Interim Chief of Staff to the City Manager. Prior to joining the City of Edmonton, she was the Executive Director of the Banff Forum, a national public policy organization whose mission is to reinvigorate public debate in Canada and strengthen the country through engaging leaders from diverse backgrounds.
Haiqa Cheema - Haiqa Cheema is a ministerial advisor to the Attorney General of British Columbia. She leads the anti-racism file for the Government of British Columbia and introduced North America's first Anti-Racism Data Act, paving the way for safe race-based data collection in government. Her expertise lies in stakeholder engagement, communications, and electoral organizing.
Lori McConnelly - Lori has “Followed her Passion” through some unique career choices to land in a role that enables her to blend her love of events and the logistics of event planning, with her desire to make a difference. As the Executive Director of Suit Yourself – Wardrobe for Women Association, Lori manages over 60 volunteers and their 4000 donated hours to assist women to gain the self-esteem and confidence they require to succeed as they search for full-time employment.
