Pima Neighborhood’s Summer Day Camp 2024 is to be held June 17-21 and we need adult chaperones from 8:45 to 2:15 every day.

To make this wonderful event possible, we need at least 16 adult volunteers each day to assist the older girl volunteers and help supervise campers.  Adults can volunteer for one or more days.  Volunteers who have children attending camp may receive a rebate check for up to $20 for each day that they attend.  Volunteers who work all five days may receive up to a $100 rebate.  We very specifically are suggesting rebates may not be available.  We must pay for all other expenses first before we can consider these reimbursements.  It is our intent to reimburse volunteers, but, again, we must acknowledge there may be a financial impediment.

In addition to filling in the form below, you must fill in a health card and turn in a hard copy to Camp Director Curly Fry (Samantha) or Pinky Pie (Emily).  That form is here:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMMITMENT
**You must have current membership and background check with Girl Scouts.**

On the days you volunteer, we need you to be present from 8:45 am to 2:15 pm.  

Most adults will be asked to escort groups of campers from station to station or simply be present in rooms where older girls who will be leading the activity stations.  You are explicitly asked to sit on your hands and let the girls lead.

You are free to work remotely if your job allows that option.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Day camp is being held June 17-21 from 9-2.  All activities will take place in air-conditioned rooms.  We ask that volunteers be present from 8:45 to 2:15. I never turn down free help, but my workload is eased if people can be there all day.
