Has the confirmand ever been baptized in any Christian Tradition? (Methodist, Catholic, Non-Denominational etc.) *
Baptism is needed before one can be confirmed. If the confirmand still needs to be baptized, would they like to be baptized with other confirmands who also need baptism at: *
Has the confirmand ever received communion before? *
If the confirmand has never received communion, would parents and student be open to Pastor Brad inviting students to receive communion for the first time during one of our worship services this fall or winter? He may prepare them and do it as a group. (Communion is not traditionally received at St. John's Ivyland on Confirmation Sunday.) *
If your confirmand would like to wait to receive communion until after being confirmed, would your confirmand like to come up with Pastor Brad's communion group for a blessing instead during that worship service? *
Are you interested in attending an optional informal meet and greet at the table in the back of the sanctuary (narthex) on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 11:30am to ask Sarah Floyd basic questions about the youth and confirmation programs? *
Can both the confirmand and at least one parent or guardian come to the mandatory Confirmation Introductory Meeting on Sunday, Oct. 10 from 11:30am - 12:30pm in the Fellowship Hall where Pastor Brad and Sarah Floyd will provide a very important overview and lead activities to begin the spiritual journey of confirmation? *
I understand the first of six Confirmation Workshops for Confirmands will be held Sunday, Oct. 17 from 11:30am to 2:00pm in Fellowship Hall.                                              .                                                                                                                                                                                          Further workshop dates, information about making up an excused absence, and expectations about the Confirmand's responsibility for participation in the life of the church will be available at our meeting on Oct. 10th with Pastor Brad and Sarah Floyd. *
