Dear Parents/Guardians:
Corona Fundamental Intermediate School is a magnet school, which offers a fundamental educational program. Any student living within the Corona-Norco Unified School District may request enrollment at CFIS. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from school. School hours are 8:00 a.m. – 2:24 p.m.
The District has established the following priorities for enrollment: (These priorities do not pertain to late or waiting list applicants.)
Priority 1:
Students living within the old Corona Jr. High School boundary
Students who will have an 8th grade sibling also attending CFIS for the 2024-2025 school year.
Priority 2:
Sixth grade students currently enrolled at Lincoln Fundamental Elementary School.
Priority 3:
All other students.
Parent Agreement
As a PARENT of a Corona Fundamental Intermediate School student, I will support the goals and philosophy of the fundamental school program by:
1.
Being responsible for my child’s regular attendance and punctuality.
2.
Assisting my child in achieving the required academic standards necessary for grade level proficiency.
3.
Reviewing my child’s schoolwork, planner and online grades.
4.
Contacting my child’s teachers or other staff members via phone, email or planner when concerns arise.
5.
Knowing and enforcing the CFIS school dress code policy.
Note: A 7th grade lottery will occur for admission to CFIS on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. The Lottery will be held via Zoom.
Failure to provide accurate information could result in your student not being qualified to enroll at CFIS or within a special program at CFIS.
If you decide your child will not attend CFIS after being accepted, you must notify CFIS in writing or by sending an email to
cfislottery@cnusd.k12.ca.us.

All applications must be submitted by Friday, January 12, 2024 before 3:30 p.m. You will receive a thank you letter that will serve as receipt of your submission. All student applications received after this date will be placed on a waiting list.
