Core Skills Scholarship Application
Thank you for your interest in applying for a MNCEFT Core Skills Training Scholarship. We, the MNCEFT Board and Minnesota EFT community members, recognize that some of our vulnerabilities come from living a life of stigma related to prejudice, poverty, or power inequalities which can be a barrier to learning opportunities. MNCEFT’s equity work in the EFT community includes centralizing and prioritizing voices within the BIPOC community, LGBTQ2AI+ community, and other marginalized identities. One way we are acting on this commitment is by offering scholarships for EFT training. We want to address the systemic and institutional racism and discrimination that has resulted in a lack of diversity in EFT training and the mental health field.

The goals of these scholarships are:
1. To offer financial assistance to those that are interested in enhancing their understanding of EFT.
2. To foster an environment that appreciates and values an increasingly diverse MNCEFT community.
3. To increase the recruitment and retention of a diverse MNCEFT membership.

To qualify for a scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Live in Minnesota.
2. Be a Minnesota-licensed Mental Health Professional who is actively providing psychotherapy to couples (must be a post-graduate licensed therapist, such as LAMFT, LMFT, LPC, LPCC, etc.). Please note, graduate students or providers without a graduate degree are not eligible to apply.
3. Have a desire to expand their understanding of EFT to improve their work with couples, individuals and families.
4. Have an interest in being an active member of the local Minnesota Center of EFT.
5. Have completed an EFT Externship prior to the start of Core Skills
6. Meet at least one of the four following criteria:
    a. Identify as BIPOC/global majority, or
    b. LGBTQ2IA+, or
    c. From diverse and marginalized identities (such as those who are uniquely abled), or
    d. Work primarily with marginalized communities (majority of your caseload).
