Pre-Registration for Amateur Radio License Exam
This data allows us to import your information in the test session program and automatically print your FCC application form.  The Laurel VEC, who we are affiliated with, uses a computer program to run the test session.  This allows us to electronically send your application and results to the FCC the next business day and your results and/or new call sign are usually available that next business day.

Please type carefully as this information is directly imported into the program and that is the information that is sent to the FCC and will be what shows up on your Amateur Radio License. Be sure the information that you enter here is correct and as you would like it to show up on your FCC issued license.

Please be sure you only enter digits for the FRN number otherwise our session program will not find you in the system. Any other characters in the FRN will cause the session program to fail.

Any Entries after about 2 hours before testing time on the day of testing will not be entered via this form. You will need to bring your FRN with you so that we can enter it manually.

The FCC is now requiring an Email as a form of contact and to send your FCC license to you.

FCC Application Fee
The Federal Communications Commission is now charging a $35.00 fee for an FCC License that is good for 10 Years. You will receive a handout explaining how you will pay this fee to the FCC and the process to acquire your Callsign.

You will have 10 days from the date that the FCC emails you to pay the fee.

You will not receive your Callsign until this fee is paid and could take till the next business day from when the fee is paid.

Please be sure everything that you have entered into this form is Correct, particularly your email address.

It is entered into the FCC database as well as checked against your FRN (FCC Registration Number) information so be sure it will match what you entered to get your FRN. Any errors will flag and delay your application for a License and could cost you and extra $35.00.

If you entered something incorrectly and can't get it changed on this form, please let us know either by emailing us, or be sure to tell us on test day.
