You are invited to the KSSB Sponsored Family Forum. This 1-day dynamic and interactive conference - just for you - the families of children who are blind or visually impaired. Nationally recognized parent, speaker and author Kristen Smedley will be the keynote speaker. She authored the book: "Thriving Blind: Real Stories of People Succeeding without Sight."
In addition, you will get to choose from four additional speakers:
* Kansas Working Healthy Program that assists individuals to understand benefits and working,
* Students in the KSSB Transition program describe their experience with the student-led KSSB Eagle Enterprises,
* Amy Gaumer from KU on Developing a Confident and Independent Child, and
* Anthony Blades who is a parent and will describe how to use tactile object calendar systems to assist children to understand daily routines and time concepts.
