How To With Christy Ku: Public Speaking
Want to be able to talk to large groups of people without feeling like you're going to die? I've got you.

Maybe your writing or social media has taken off and you're being asked to speak at events and panels. Maybe you're exhausted from being super nervous every single time you have to give a presentation at workWe'll be using creativity to gently build your confidence and find coping techniques.

These sessions will be open to those in and outside of creative industries!

About me: I used to be severely anxious to the point where I was struggling to just talk - I remember being frozen when I had to speak to someone and being unable to put my hand up in class until I was 16.

These days, I'm a spoken word poet and have worked with organisations including the BBC, Sky Arts and the Barbican. Since 2016, I've performed live at events from small open mic nights to festivals with 1000+ people, in theatres to TV sets. As a creative, I've spoken at panels, talks, podcasts, live on national radio, conferences and more.

I've been a workshop facilitator, working with all ages and confidence levels across the country. Previous organisations include Museum of London, National Union of Students and libraries and schools. I also run anti-racism, diversity & inclusion workshops with Talawa Theatre.

At this stage this survey is to see who's interested, what you want, and how you'd like to work together. My idea is to offer workshops for small groups and one to one sessions, with online and in-person options!

Thank you for your time and interest!
